"Bear"

My name is Sarge and I am an energetic border collie.  I attended Jodi’s basic obedience class; I had lots of fun and learned a whole lot!  Jodi was a fantastic instructor; her knowledge helped me and my handler have a new respect and understanding towards each other while building a solid partnership.  I gained so much valuable knowledge that I also attended her intermediate class.  Upon occasion I was the class clown:), but again the lessons were invaluable.  I have become such a partner that my handler takes me everywhere-I have even been to Yellowstone Park and watched Old Faithful.

Jodi is a wonderful and knowledgeable instructor. It was a very rewarding attending her classes with Sarge.  Upon completion of the intermediate course, Jodi has referred me to a colleague to continue my growth with my dog to pursue agility classes and possibly competitions.  I will definitely attend classes with Jodi in the future if I acquire a new partner and man’s best friend.

Throughout the years, I've had a few different dogs and I took each of them to Jodi's courses.  With some of them, I only did basic​ obedience, and with others I took the intermediate course.  It helped me to feel more confident about my skills as a pack leader and I can now better control my dogs.  Jodi also helped me a lot with one of my dogs who has some aggression issues.  He's terribly afraid of small dogs, but with Jodi's help, he's doing a lot better, to a point where we can go to parks and walk with other 4-legged friends!  I do believe that without her help I would have had to put him down.  Thank you Jodi for all your help and support!

Jodi and her knowledge for training dogs took Amigo and I to a whole new level of partnership between dog and human.  We were experiencing behavior challenges and found professional support with Jodi.  Her patience and her techniques helped us persevere through our difficult moments while honouring and respecting both of us, at either end of the leash. We successfully completed our Intermediate class and have followed up with customized lesson plans Jodi has made for us; perfectly meeting our unique needs as a team.  Both dog and human are very grateful:) and continue building and improving our knowledge and relationship with Jodi's guidance and support.

I am the proud owner of two Chow Chows; Boog and Bear.  Both 3 year old brothers have taken the basic and Intermediate obedience program.  Boog and Bear have certainly excelled at various commands from a basic sit to off leash handling skills such as heeling, as well as a moving down from the front. We now enjoy coming back year after year to either obedience program to sharpen the pups skill set as well as continue with their socialization amongst others.  It has been such a great, informative, healthy learning environment for both owner and dog. I strongly encourage anyone that is thinking about taking an obedience class to sign up with Unleashed Canine. Unleashed Canine provides excellent instruction and advice throughout the program, and is invested in the owner and dog long after graduating from obedience class.
