Personal Protection

A protection dog is a dog who gets along with the entire family, yet is a high caliber dog who will back down anyone who offers you a physical threat.  This is a very specialized service which requires the right dog and a criminal record check from anyone residing in the home with the dog.  An interview with Unleashed Canine staff is required.

Service Dogs

The demand for service dogs is on the rise and we can help you achieve your goals of training your dog for service.  We will help get you and your dog prepared for an assessment to meet the Alberta Training Standard, to become qualified and have public access rights.

Before beginning any form of service training, we will evaluate your dog to make sure he is a suitable candidate for this very important role.

Tracking & Detection

A tracking dog is a dog of any breed or combination of breeds that has developed it's sense of smell through practice and experience; and they are fully proficient in following a particular human scent.  There are different types of tracking, and with us you will learn Tracking Through Drive with your dog.  

Scent detection is another way for dogs to use their noses to the best of their ability.  At Unleashed Canine we offer specialty courses such as arson detection and drug detection.

Breed Selection

Far too often we fall for an adorable puppy, or a particular breed, without doing some breed research first.  This is a crucial step you shouldn't avoid, as you may not be able to meet the needs of the breed you want.

Meet with us one on one before getting a puppy or dog to ensure you are getting the right breed for your family and lifestyle.  We will help you choose the breed that suits you your lifestyle.

Board & Train

Do you want a well mannered, properly trained dog but don't have the time?

Then the Board and Train program may be what you need.  Board your dog with us and we'll train him for you!

Cost:  $650.00 per week*

*There is a two week minimum for the Board & Train program.
